Portraits of James Terry Gardiner. James T. Gardiner Engineer-geologist. Contributed to the founding of the Water Co. the laying of Sargeant Drive and Cooksey Drive. Gave freely of his knowledge and his time to the place he loved so dearly. This is a record of his contribution to the development of Northeast Harbor.

For some years. when he was a widower, he and his sister-in-law, Miss Miriam Reynolds, occupied the cottage "Bishops-gate-Within". Later he occupied a cottage back of the Clifton House overlooking the harbor. This picture was taken on Mrs. Pepper's piazza.
