Framing plans, floor plans, elevations, site plans, sketches Roc's comments: Isabel and John Ed Anthony were the nicest clients I had in 45 years of practice. They had funded a Fay Jones Church near Hot Springs Arkansas and liked architecture. They were patient and good natured and always brought the best out of me. I like them very much and we became good friends. Our office designed six buildings for them. Three here on MDI (two built) and three in Hot Springs (one built) The people who helped me with the construction drawings were Tod Hardy and Jeff Wright.

Floor plans, elevations, sketch Roc's comment: We renovated an existing barn on Bartlett into a series of second floor apartments for visiting guests and workers. This was done for Richard Rockefeller and his second wife Nancy just before he died in a plane crash. Savas Mutlu was the project manager and he was a delightful pro to work with for the last few years of our practice. Wish I had met him sooner.

Renovation suggestions and computer generated perspectives of various suggestions, schedules, sections, framing plans, floor plans, mechanical, plumbing, electrical Roc's Comments: The Habermanns have an extensive collection of Soderholtz garden urns and wanted a room and outdoor garden area in which to display them. they also wanted to add a master bedroom suite to the north side of their lovely old shingle styled home on Somes Sound. I think we did a good job of giving them the updated functions they requested and respecting the existing structure. They were very pleasant people to work with. Avik Eloyan helped with the drawings and computer work.

Sections, floor plan, elevations Roc's Comments: Finley and Joanie Matheson had a sweet piece of land in Seal Harbor behind the wonderful Grosvenor Atterbury church. When Finley asked me to design a new home for them I unfortunately had more work than we could handle and did not want to agree to something we could not due and recommended some fellows in Blue Hill. When their project was complete I did have time to design a small garden cottage for Joanie. This was after those wonderful little "nap houses" scattered thru the hills built by large summer families that wanted a quiet respite from the summer frenzy. Joanie loved it.

Unbuilt Elevations, floor plans Roc's favorite design he ever did. Roc's Comments: This is a sad story. Met with the McPhersons and designed this elegant and efficient home for them on a very bad piece of property on the side of the hill in Seal Harbor. They had sewer and water lines running over the property and there was a drainage swale that cut it in half. I organized all the town utility infrastructure and used the intermittent stream as a land feature and defining form in the design. I really love this little solution and think the design is one of the best I have done. Unfortunately the McLeans hired Bill Shaw a local builder who took my COA class in Architectural Design in the past. Bill told them my drawings were not what he wanted to build and they threw them out and Bill built what he wanted to.
